They’ve ruined Simon I’ve owned an original Simon game since 1979. This new version pales in comparison. Here’s a list of all the bad things about this new version.
Do not buy. Inherent design flaw. Touch Buttons stopped working on 2 different models. This is the 2nd time we’ve ordered this item. The first time it arrived with the blue button broken (unable to sense touch). We returned it promptly, hoped it was a stroke of bad luck & ordered another. The second one arrived and worked for less than 24 hours before the red button stopped working. We changed the batteries & pressed the reset button to no avail. This is a great game that has unfortunately been ruined by the updated tech re-design. They should ditch the touchscreen and go…
Not as responsive as push button Simon Says This thing is much smaller than the traditional simon says, which is a good thing. The buttons do not push, they are touch sensitive, but don’t always respond, causing you to push anyway, which does nothing, lol. My 6 year old daughter has a good time with it though, but gets frustrated with its lack of responsiveness, causing her to miss a press, after about 10 minutes.
