Three brands of “SAMS” compared I just bought three different SAM-type splints on Amazon and they seem comparable:
A must for any trauma kit These are great, you should have one on hand for your camping medical bag or even at home. Stabilizing a fracture is important to prevent further tissue damage and also helps with pain. The SAM splint is easy to use and versatile so a must have for my medical kits. Much better than using a tree limb or flimsy cardboard.
Great Customer service!! Great Customer service!! With all the stuff going on in the world, I decided to put together an emergency bag with medical supplies and other stuff and this is one small piece of it. There was a small glitch in my order. I contacted customer service (easy to get ahold of) and they promptly took care of it and sent me out a replacement. Hard to find good customer service these days but this is one. The splint was as described and I’m satisfied with my purchase.
