Derived from the Dutch for “children” and “bicycle,” a Kinderfeets is a wooden push bike designed to ease the transition to pedal-powered bicycle at a toddler’s comfort level. Kinderfeets’ tires don’t require air. Plus, Kinderfeets’ colorful chalkboard finish provides a reusable canvas for children to exercise their creativity. Older now, Sebastian rides a regular bike with ease and confidence – all thanks to the push bike his father designed with him in mind.
The design is nice to look at, but not very practical and the production is shoddy. I like the look of the design, but the construction is not good at all. My three biggest complaints:1) The holes in the seat assembly that allow you to adjust it for child height are not lined up at all with the holes in the frame. Every time I’ve adjusted it (once when it arrived when our son was smaller and once again now that our son has grown a bit) I’ve had to re-drill the relevant holes to make them bigger so that you can get the bolts to line up. Pair this with the cheap…
Not fun to put together but daughter loves it My daughter loves this bike even though she hits her heels on the back wheels because the seat is a little too close to them. It’s a big pain to put together and adjust. It’s difficult to get the bolts tightened without being too tight and the one of the wooden dowels that separate the wheels from the fork of the bike in trike mode did not have the hole drilled large enough for it to spin freely. For how expensive this trike was I thought it would be a little easier to put together and adjust…
Its nice though that little ones can use it just would … I think it will do its job. I would give it 5 stars but found the quality to be lacking. Out of the box the wood already chip and the seat is splitting from being over dried and drilled wrong for the fender. Its nice though that little ones can use it just would like quality to always be there.
