Adequate Adequate. Locks tightly. Can be folded if need be.I bought this in October prior to a hospital stay.I notice this is now advertised as having a wooden handle. Mine was plastic and the handle end cap was soon lost. Most of these folding canes appear to be from the same manufacturer, so I am buying another cheaper branded cane for my second purchase, which appears identical to the one of this brand that I had.Because of these issues I am downgrading to 3 stars.
My review of this purchase I ordered this cane for my elderly mother. She loves it. She has to now use a cane after her total knee replacement surgery. I love that the height is adjustable. It looks really good and is made sturdy. I was very pleased with this purchase.
great for travel! I love the ease of opening for use and breaking down for storage. I needed a cane for travel when I suffered a groin injury just prior to taking an 8-day scenic walking vacation, and this came in very handy. So glad I decided to purchase!
