Counting steps are implemented through a 3D accelerator chip, it will record steps when you move your hand, so it may have some tolerance error. To reduce arm movement errors, it will reset itself automatically if you continue to walk less than 40 steps. To test the accuracy of steps counting, please kindly help to try steps of below: 1. make sure your device is successfully fully charged. 2. wear you fitness tracker watch on wrist, record the steps number shown on your smart band screen , walk casually and continuously by 100 steps, then check the step counting number and calculate out the added steps from the readings you got. 3. compare the recorded numbers with your actually walked steps for judgment of the accuracy of the pedometer, if the difference variance within +/-5%, it’s normal for your usage, and if the difference (tolerance) goes out of +/-5%, then there is a defect related to the device.
